Easy Basic Chocolate Cake For All Occasions

Hello blog buddies! I am posting an update of a recipe that I've already shared with you last year. This time I am adding the buttercream frosting recipe that I usually use on all my cookies, cupcakes and cakes. It's a basic method that I often get creative with by changing color or flavor.

If you have an occasion and you would like to make something from the heart yourself for family and loved once. Try a basic cake recipe and make it awesome by decorating it using buttercream and other fruits, berries or even chocolate.

Here is the link to make the basic super easy Chocolate Cake with the below written ingredients. And here under the images you gonna find the buttercream frosting recipe and method.

To make this specific cake you will need raspberry and a drop of red color to your frosting. Since its winter season I used frozen raspberry but they were delicious anyway. I am sure using fresh ones would make the cake even more tasty.

In the middle layer between the two cakes I laid some buttercream paste and some raspberry crumbs. You can use as many raspberries as you want in the middle, I only had a limited amount to make the whole cake.

I hope you enjoy making and eating this simple basic cake :-)

Buttercream Frosting

⅔ cup butter, softened -150 grams
3 cups powdered sugar, add more depending on personal preference - 600 grams
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 Tablespoons heavy whipping cream, add more or less depending on personal preference. You can also use milk instead.
food coloring if you want to change up the color.

Method

Cream butter in a large mixing bowl. Add powdered sugar, vanilla and heavy whipping cream and beat until smooth and creamy. Add more powdered sugar and/or heavy whipping cream as needed to achieve desired consistency.
