Travel: Medieval Town Of Estonia

Yet the Old World ambience within its walled town center has been beautifully preserved. In the 15th century, Tallinn consisted of two feuding medieval towns: The hill-topping upper town — called Toompea — is from where the country of Estonia has long been ruled.

The past two years I haven't been updating our travel blog since I was busy with my full time job.. now that I got some spare time during the days while our little one is sleeping I will be working on adding those posts to share some of my recommendations that can be useful for travelers.

In 2015 new year - January we traveled to Helsinki than Estonia by boat for couple of days. It was a cosy and a very relaxing trip to spend the most cold days in the winter away. I consider this was one of the romantic winter getaways because the old town was very charming and made me feel like I was on those old classic movies. I hope the photos I toke below can take you there :-)

I would like to recommend the following if ever visiting Tallinn town :

  • We stayed at a spa hotel called Tallink Spa
  • I had the most delicious truffles risotto ever in italian restaurant Controvento
  • We had the best dinner last dinner in Rataskaevu 16
  • And one of the cozy places that has entertainment was a Beer House where you could hang out after dinner.
