Hello food lovers, I made this lovely pie today and it tastes delicious. the original recipe has a different filling but I created this using my favorite vegetables that taste great with sea food. This is a nice meal for breastfeeding moms to increase milk supply.
I made two pies as you see in the photos, one that is thicker.. because I like the dough thicker and my hubby likes it thin. I hope you enjoy it!

Pie dough
3 dl flour
150 g butter or margarine
2 tablespoons cold water
Filling
250 g shredded, smoked or cured salmon
Fresh or frozen pieces of:
Cauliflower, green beens, asparagus, kale
* optional quantity
Topping
3 eggs
2 dl milk
1 dl cream
1 1/2 dl grated cheese
1 tsp salt
1 pinch black pepper
Method
- Mix together the flour and butter, add water and form a dough ball, by hand or in a food processor. Wrap it in plastic wrap and let rest in a cool place for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 225ºC.
- Roll or press out the dough in a greased baking pan, to be about 24 cm tin . Pre-bake pie crust in about 10 minutes.
- Cut the salmon into small pieces, shred cauliflower, green beens, asparagus, kale. Divide the salmon and everything else in the pre-baked pie dough.
- Mix together the eggs, milk, cream, grated cheese and spices. Pour the mix over filling..
- Bake in middle of oven for about 30 minutes or until the pie is golden.
Tip
Want more seafood feeling so add some peeled Räker or crayfish.
