Newborn Checklist

The past few weeks we have been ticking off the baby needs list.. No matter how much stuff I collect, I still feel the panic of having something missing when in urgent need..

I was happy that the Parenting Course ( provided by the Swedish government health centre ) we took gave me a lot of preparing "Baby Environment" info and assisted me with lots of guiding tips starting from Parents Relation Habits until how to handle the parenting tasks equally to not affect the personal and love life.

In general I was told to not worry too much, and that its normal to feel like this due to lack of experience of the situation.. the expert said that new parents often expect things to be more difficult than they really are, no matter how prepared and ready.

Here is my recent buys in the image and the list I used as a guide check-list. I hope this can be helpful for you as it was for me.

Clothing

  • 8 undershirts or onesies (mix of short-sleeve and long-sleeve)
  • 5 nightgowns (for use until the cord falls off)
  • 8 one-piece stretchy sleepers (go for ones with zippers; new moms swear by them!)
  • 5 pairs of pants
  • 2 newborn hats
  • 8 pairs of socks or booties, to wear with nightgowns and outfits
  • 2 pairs of scratch mittens, to keep baby from scratching his face

  • Changing pad
  • Baby ointment or barrier cream to prevent rash
  • Disposable wipes or a couple dozen washcloths for cleaning baby's bottom
