The Basic Chocolate Cake

I used this recipe to make two cake layers. Put them on top of each other by placing a layer of my preferable filling. Whether it's raspberry, blueberry, strawberry or just melted chocolate. The same thing for the topping decoration. I made this same cake recipe many times with different filling / decoration each time.

You will need:

100 g Butter
2½ dl granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 dl flour
3 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

Preheat the oven to 175 °. Melt the butter in a pot. Lift off the pan from the heat.
Stir in sugar and eggs, mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients so that everything is well mixed.
Pour batter into a greased and floured form with removable rim, about 24 cm in diameter.
Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes.

The cake will be low with fairly hard surface and a bit sticky in the middle. Allow the cake to cool.

Enjoy!

Shelfie Challenge

Hello again. I got invited to join this home decor ( Shelfie Challenge ) by  Laurel and Wolf an interior design online magazine. This is a Morden style shelf  at our home that I styled using my own muse and taste adding things that are character related to me and my hubby. As I am photography and art interested and he works in aviation, both of us love nature and little bit of the luxurious lifestyle.

Below there are tips from Laurel & Wolf on how to decorate your own shelf. I hope you guys get inspired and I hope I get picked on the challenge as one of the nice shelves. Have a lovely weekend!

My 30 Birthday Event

Had my birthday party last week. It was just a family dinner party I hosted at home. I am still not that comfortable being out with the little one yet. So I made an italian buffet and styled the dining table in country Boho style. ( recipes)

I loved all the flowers I got, lots and lots of roses and mixed flowers bouquets. My sweet heart got me 30 red roses, a rose for each year which I found so romantic. And a present card from my favoraite store royaldesign. I also loved all the gifts from everyone, they really put a big simle on my face.
